Rehabilitation Specialists of Monroe Physician Evaluation & Treatment At your first visit, you will see a physician specializing in the treatment of pain and disability. The physician will review your prior history. A physical examination will be completed to discover the source of pain or immobility and a treatment plan will be developed to reach realistic goals in a defined period of time.
We accept most private and commercial insurances, worker’s compensation, and auto insurances. If you do not have insurance, we offer specialized services at packaged rates with payment at the time of service. Treatment Options Other forms of treatment, such as pain blocks, injections, medications, exercises, and education are sometimes utilized. Homeopathic, herbal, and nutritional supplements are also available. The physician may order electrodiagnostic testing or other needed tests. This may include nerve conduction studies or electromyography (EMG) to determine if nerve or muscle damage is present.

Click Here to View Our MMT Classes For the Community Children’s Clinic Dr. Keith R. Barbour of Rehabilitation Specialists of Monroe offers a free children’s clinic in his office located at 975 S. Monroe St., Ste. C, Monroe, MI 48161. The Clinic is open on the first and third Monday of the month.
Dr. Barbour, who specializes in osteopathic medicine, designed the clinic for children 13 and younger. He will evaluate participants for structural dysfunction, or tightness within the body, which can restrict full and normal movement of its parts. A simple treatment of light pressure will help the body relieve these tensions.
Parents can bring their children to the office at 4:30 p.m. to sign in. Children are seen on a first-come, first-served basis. The last sign-in time is 5:30 p.m. All children signed in by then will be seen.
This clinic is not a substitute for regular doctor visits.
